Estate Planning

You’ve spent a lifetime building your wealth. The question now is whether it will pass on the way you actually want it to. Estate planning isn’t just for later in life, it’s about putting a clear, considered structure in place today, so your family isn’t left navigating uncertainty tomorrow.

The Challenge

Without a proper plan, estates can be eroded by inheritance tax, tied up in delays, or divided in ways that don’t reflect your wishes. Many people put this off simply because it feels complicated or uncomfortable to think about, but the cost of inaction is usually far greater than the cost of planning.

Our Approach

Our Chartered financial advisers take time to understand your family, your assets, and what matters most to you, before recommending a strategy. That might include trusts, gifting arrangements, or restructuring how assets are held, always explained in plain English, never in jargon.

What’s Covered

We help with inheritance tax mitigation, trust planning, business and agricultural relief where applicable, and coordinating your estate plan with your Will and wider financial plan, so nothing is left as a loose end.

Our Credentials

As a CISI-accredited, Chartered Financial Planning firm based in Winchester, we’ve guided local families through estate and legacy planning for over twenty years. We work alongside your solicitor and accountant where needed, so your plan is joined up, not siloed.

“Martin became our financial adviser as my husband Tony prepared to retire from his directorship at Marsh. Since we lost Tony in 2014, Martin’s advice and support has been exceptional. I have no hesitation in recommending him and his team at Collingbourne”

“I first met Martin when seeking advice on how best to manage our finances from the latter stages of self-employment to a retirement of plausible “comfort and security”. My wife and I will be forever grateful for the unstinting help and wise counsel Martin has provided for the past twenty years. On all things financial, he remains our first port of call.”

“After selling our business we reinvested the proceeds of our lifetime’s work with Collingbourne, who also took to looking after our pension funds. Their expert personal attention has successfully guided us and our family for well over two decades and Martin has always been available when needed. We cannot speak too highly of him and his personnel.”
